It happened! We have joined up with Divide and Conquer!  Make sure to join the website and get active in the forums!  Check Episode 82 for details on the merger.

This next Friday (or Thursday) around 7:00PM EST we will be playing “Name that Chiptune” for this weeks podcast. We are also going to invite multiple guests to play with the 8 Bit crew and have them compete to win a special prize. This is a REAL (SPECIAL) prize from Starcraft that will be shipped to the winner after the show and NO, it is not cheese! Instead of using skype and risking a crash with more than one call, we will be trying a new method; by hosting the guests on DGC Guild Teamspeak. (74.55.225.199:9096). So if you want to tune in and listen live, you’re more than welcome to connect to the server and do so.

You wish you were this bad-ass.

It seems Bioware is on the move with it’s Dragon Age franchise after several DLC/Expansions for Dragon Age: Origins they’re rearing to go on the next installment in the Dragon Age universe with Dragon Age 2.  So instead of re-using the formula from Dragon Age: Origins they’ve decided to use the Mass Effect formula.  Instead of you choosing a race/class/origin you will be forced to play the new face of Dragon Age Hawke.

Here is the offical press release.

“Dragon Age 2 thrusts players into the role of Hawke, a penniless refugee who rises to power to become the single most important character in the world of Dragon Age. Known to be a survivor of the Blight and the Champion of Kirkwall, the legend around Hawke’s rise to power is shrouded in myth and rumor. Featuring an all-new story spanning 10 years, players will help tell that tale by making tough moral choices, gathering the deadliest of allies, amassing fame and fortune, and sealing their place in history. The way you play will write the story of how the world is changed forever.”

As Hawke you will be able to make a male/female and choose between three classes Warrior, Rogue, and Mage.  The game takes place sometime after Origins and if you import your playthroughs from Origins it will affect the world of Dragon Age 2 (AWESOME) Most of the features from Origins will reoccur, such as romancing party memebers, making moral choices that affect the game, and a similar but improved combat system.

Release date is set for March 8th. So here’s the trailer check it out and get excited, I know I am!

THQ has announced the first playable race for Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium Online the Imperium of Man!  Here’s a trailer that shows some in game action and talks about which of the member of the Imperium you’ll be able to play as.

Mass Effect 2 is finally coming to the Playstation 3.  There is no other news then that, and if you don’t have a PC or an X-box 360 you are excited.  If you do have one of these two systems…you are quietly chuckling and watching Dragon Age 2 trailers.
